Spindleruv Mlyn Guide
Spindleruv Mlyn is one of the best-known ski resorts in the Czech Republic. It lies in the Krkonose (Giant Mountains) and offers a good mix of terrain for snowboarding and skiing, with reliable snowmaking and a range of lifts.
Terrain
The resort has blue, red, and black runs. Beginners can stick to the gentler slopes; intermediates will find plenty of red runs to progress on; advanced riders have access to steeper sections and some off-piste options. The area is compact enough to explore in a day but varied enough for a short stay.
Lifts and access
Spindleruv Mlyn is served by chairlifts and drag lifts. Queues can build at peak times, especially at weekends. Arriving early or visiting on weekdays helps. The resort is within reach of Prague for day trips; many visitors also stay in the town.
Snow conditions
Snowmaking covers a large part of the resort, which helps when natural snow is limited. For current conditions, check Skiresort.info or the resort website.
Practical tips
Book lift passes in advance if you can. The town has shops for gear and food. For more on Czech resorts in general, see our best slopes in the Czech Republic. For gear advice, see beginner snowboard gear and boots and bindings.
